The Australian Open Is one of the four annual Grand Slam tennis tournaments, it is the first tournament of the year, held in January, the others are the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. The tournament is held in Melbourne with the two main hard courts being Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena, they feature a retractable roof which are shut during rain or extreme heat. Like all other Grand Slam tournaments, the Australian Open features a men’s and women’s singles; men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles; and junior’s, wheelchair, exhibition, and legends’ competitions.
